close

Having been there a few times already and wanting to find a place close by we decided to visit this hot pot place again.

It was raining cats and dogs so we didnt want to travel far.

Located conveniently a block away from my fathers house where we are staying at the moment, it took us 5 mins to walk there. I'm going to try and place a google map point...

looks like the page is not allowing me to type below the inserted map.

Anyways its quite easy to find on the North End of Park #4.

Note that this place opens at 12 noon and not a second later. Jeremy and I were battling mosquitoes outside and discussing what makes a good employee and their responsibilities to their boss I.E. opening on time!

This place must have been refurbished since this picture was taken (i've pulled it off from google, probably belongs to someone - Thank you)

The interior is clean and nothing stood out except for the usual artic chill that is the usual case with hotpot places.

The bowl of vegetables and bits and bobs were quite rich in content. There were like 23 different items including the various balls and dumplings and veggies. I have been to places where there were less than 10.

After deciding on the set menu you are given the option to double up your meat selection by paying 100 more (from 7oz to 14oz?). You can also opt to change your veggie bowl for more meat. Between Jeremy and I an upgrade in meat is enough for the two of us. They will also ask you if you wanted your meat platter stir fried in the stone pot before they add the stock. I have asked them to do it once thinking that perhaps the stir frying process would caremalize the meat? But it didnt happen. The beef was pushed around the pot, mixing with the onion in medium heat to the point that it was steaming, not searing, which was a small dissaointment. I have since never asked for it thinking it made no difference except for robbing my freedom of control in the hot potting process.

All children are given a plate of complementary fish which should be boiled for 5 minutes - conveniently measured by the hour glass they provide. They also give you a bowl like sieve to put the delicate fish so it doesnt get messed up in the bowl but I found that it becomes the point where all the floating stuff ends up, coating the white fish meat in gunk.

The condiments section is nothing to bragg about and i would say the selection is average for these type of joints. Meji ice cream is standard amongst most of the hot pot places though we were lucky to have one tub containing a caramel laced variety, a step up form the usual vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and mango.

Totalling 441 for lunch i'd say its
